Design and develop a website based on the logo, industry standards and a look and feel that reflected their professionalism in the construction and commercial recruitment field. Write text for all areas of the site that reflected their direct approach in matching clients and candidates.
Implementation
We had several meetings to discuss design ideas and how they wanted to present their business. After these discussions and research on the industry and competitors, I created some initial designs and reviewed them with the client to ensure we were heading in the right direction. The client was incredibly happy with the initial look, so I proceeded to create the full designs of the site, modifying where necessary from feedback. Once the designs were signed off, it was time for development.
WordPress was used as the framework for its versatility and to allow staff to easily update the content in the future if they needed to. The design and development were focused on creating a very simple structure that was not heavily reliant on plugins. My target is always to create websites as cleanly as possible to improve speed and reduce security risks. Once the initial frame was built, It was placed into a demo area for the client to review. At the same time, I researched and wrote content for each of the pages approved by the client at each step.
Finally, after testing the site and making changes to the content and design in the demo area, the site was made live. Lastly, further testing was done to ensure the functionality in a live environment. All this was implemented to create a smooth project process throughout.
Results
The client was incredibly happy with the finished result, plus it was made live on time for their business launch. At every step, I kept in close contact with the client to ensure the project went as smoothly as possible. This was vital to guarantee the website was finished on time. My attention to detail on the timeframe also ensured adequate feedback and testing from the client was completed without rushing. Subsequently, the website was launched on time and with the full approval of the client.
